Candidates who have already completed the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care may be eligible to seek Credit Transfer for units of competency they have already achieved or RPL (Recognition of Prior learning) for units of competency where the candidate has gained the required skills through either work or life or through qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. This could reduce the course length to 15-18 months.

Prerequisite

Prospective students must have a competent level of language and literacy to partake in this course and be currently employed in the Early Childcare Industry, ideally within a Long day care centre, Family day care centre, or Pre-school.

Are there Assessments?

You will be required to complete self study and assessment work in your own time. There is usually a short answer question and small project associated with each unit of competency. Some units of competency require training and assessment of practical skills.
