Improve your Reading and Writing Skills (Intermediate)

Fully funded English classes are available to Australian Citizens/Permanent Residents/NZ citizens/humanitarian visa holders who require the skills provided in the courses to help improve employment opportunities or support further training needs. To ensure you are enrolled in the correct course, a short interview is required. Term 4 2017 enrolment/interview day will be held at NBCC Brookvale campus -Level 1, 14 William St, Brookvale on 04 October : 5.00pm to 7.00pm You do not need to book in advance. You must bring proof of citizenship or visa. Limited places available. Course costs $250 if not eligible for funding.

FSKRDG05 Read and Respond to Simple Workplace Procedures
FSKRDG06 Read and Respond to Simple Informal Workplace texts
FSKWTG04 Write Simple informal workplace texts

This class will be held on Tuesday evenings starting the 17 October for 7 consecutive weeks 6-9pm finishing Tues 28 November at our Brookvale campus

Unique Student Identifier (USI)

From 1 January 2015 it is a requirement of the Federal Government that all students undertaking nationally recognised training will need to obtain a Unique Student Identifier (USI). This involves an easy online application. See USI Fact Sheet for information on how to apply for a USI go to the Unique Student Identifier (USI) Website for additional information.

Please ensure when completing your enrolment information, that the details relating to your name are identical to those on the identification evidence used (eg passport or driver’s licence) when creating your USI eg no abbreviations or nicknames should be used.

Once created, it is important that you keep a record of your USI and access to your accredited training records in a safe place. You will need this information for any future enrolments into accredited training in Australia.

Assessments are made against units of competency.
  • Read and respond to simple workplace procedures (FSKRDG05)
  • Write simple informal workplace texts (FSKWTG04)
  • Read and respond to simple informal workplace texts (FSKRDG06)
