In this beginners' crochet class, you will learn the basic stitches needed to start you on your crochet journey. We will practice these by making small motifs which can be joined together to make a garland or used for brooches, hair clips, decorative appliqués. If time permits we will also learn a basic granny square.

  • A crochet hook (metal, wood or plastic) in size between 5mm and 8mm ( e.g. 5, 5.5, 6,6.5 etc)
  • Light coloured wool in 10,12 or 14 ply
  • Please feel free to bring any other wool you might like to experiment with and any patterns/projects that you might like to discuss.

The trainer will have kits with crochet hook and two balls of wool available on the day for $16 (payable in cash on the day).
